DRYSWAB™ Range

Each swab comes self–contained and ready to use with its own tube for easy transport to the laboratory. The bud is made of rayon, also known as Viscose, and has been found to be particularly suitable for the recovery of microorganisms.

The texture is similar to that of cotton, but it has none of the fatty acids or other substances that can be inhibitory to fastidious bacteria.

The entire DRYSWAB range is CE marked and CLSI-M40-A2 compliant. They are also FDA approved.

POLYWIPE™ Range

POLYWIPE™ is ergonomically designed for convenient sampling of large, flat, or irregularly shaped surfaces.

ENVIRO-KIT™ LISTERIA - Launching Soon

The system combines pre-moistened STERISWAB™ surface swabs with liquid, colour-change detection vials. After sampling, swabs are placed into the vial and incubated at 37°C. A clear colour change from straw to black within 24–48 hours indicates the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

ISOLATION TRANSWAB® – Environmental Sampling

The kits include a swab for sampling the surface, which is then placed in the provided tube of coloured gel medium, which in turn changes colour if positive

Amnicator®

Amnicator® is a quick, cost-effective, and reliable tool for the detection of a premature rupture of the (fetal) membrane.

The simple swab test gives a visible result in 30 seconds.

A colour change from yellow to blue indicates the possible presence of amniotic fluid.

Each Amnicator® test is self contained – with the only additional equipment required being a speculum.

A rapid visible negative result can give reassurance to mother, while positive result indicates further investigation.
